EXT. THE PLANET OF SHELAMIA – STYX PALACE – LANDING PLATFORM
A large spacecraft lands on the landing platform. A door opens and 2 tall Shelamians exit. CORGAN, a sixteen year old human and his sister MISHKA who is four years old enter the spacecraft. They are slaves. They each grab some luggage to carry it to the palace. As they are walking down the stairs, Mishka trips and drops the luggage she is carrying. The Shelamians turn around.
Mishka
Sorry. I’m sorry
Shelamian No.1 – SOOM
Pick it up, Neefa!
Corgan helps Mishka to pick it up.
The Shelamian princes are welcomed by a human head-slave named SETH.
SETH
Greetings my lords.
Was your trip a success?
The lords ignore Seth. Seth looks towards Corgan and Mishka.
SETH
Hurry!
The group enters a building. The Shelamians worship perfection. Everything is clean and geometric and on a huge scale. They treat humans as being worth less than robots.
The group stands on a huge circular platform with a pillar in the middle. The platform descends revealing that it is in fact a huge elevator. A small robot moves closer to the Shelamian lords. It has drinks for them. They take the drinks and sip them.

Mishka looks at the drinks. It is obvious that she is thirsty. Suddenly she notices that Seth is glaring at her. She lowers her head. Corgan is visibly upset by the life that his sister has to endure.
The two Shelamian lords talk to each other in their own tongue. In the actual film it will be alien dialogue with english subtitles.
SOOM
Cazeel is becoming a problem. It is time to provide Arakush with droids.
KRON
Agreed!
The elevator stops. The robot takes their drinks. They walk down an extremely high and awesome corridor. As they pass another corridor, Seth, Corgan and Mishka leave the main passage and enter this corridor to their right. At the entrance of this corridor there is a water fountain.
A huge lizard, which is sacred, walks past them.
SETH
Take their luggage to their rooms and then
Go to the kitchen.
Corgan and Mishka carry on. Seth turns back and follows the Shelamians.
MISHKA
Corgan, I’m thirsty
They stop. Corgan runs back the entrance of the corridor to see if Seth and the royals have gone.
CORGAN
Come, Mishka. Quick!
Mishka runs to the water fountain. She is about to take a sip. Suddenly Seth appears at the end of the passage. Corgan grabs Mishka’s arm and pulls her away. Fortunately Seth doesn’t see them.
Corgan and Mishka carry on.
CORGAN
Not much longer. Soon we will be in the kitchen and you can have a drink.
They enter a huge bedroom. Corgan put a suitcase down on the platform. The suitcase descends.
Corgan takes the luggage from Mishka and they leave the room. They enter the next huge bedroom. Corgan doesn’t notice his sister collapsing. He puts the luggage down. Suddenly he notices that Mishka has fallen.
CORGAN
Mishka!
She is still conscious. He picks her up and carries her towards the kitchen. As he gets to the kitchen, he pours some water and gives it to her. She drinks desperately.
Other humans can be seen working in the kitchen. One of them, JUDE HAWKINS, sees Corgan.
JUDE
Corgan! Tomorrow you must go to the forest. We need more mushrooms.
CORGAN
Will do, Jude.
INT. THE SLAVE QUARTERS – CORGAN’S BEDROOM
Corgan is tucking in an exhausted Mishka.
CORGAN
I’ve got to get up early so don’t worry
if you wake up and I’m not here.
MISHKA
Why’ve you got to get up early?
CORGAN
They need mushrooms.
MISHKA
You must be careful.
(she is drifting off)
CORGAN
I will, sleep tight.
Mishka has already passed out.
EXT. STYX PALACE. MORNING
Corgan exits the palace via an enormous doorway. He walks into the forest. He has to walk quite a distance, before he finds mushrooms.
He eventually finds mushrooms. He notices that next to the path he is picking from is something metal. He finds an old spaceship. He is amazed. He goes inside. There is a small robot, which is in sleep mode. Corgan “wakes” the robot
EPSILON 7
Hello, Sir.
CORGAN
Are you...um...a co-pilot droid?
EPSILON
Yes, Sir. I am Epsilon 7.
Corgan suddenly looks very excited.
CORGAN
Very good. Epsilon 7, stay in the ship. Okay!
EPSILON
Yes, Sir.
Corgan runs back towards the palace. He trips over something sharp.
CORGAN
Ugh!
He picks up a beautiful knife that was sticking in the ground. He conceals the knife and runs back to the palace.
INT. THE PALACE KITCHEN
Corgan arrives dirty but with mushrooms. He gives them to the head cook, LIAM LIMESON.
LIAM
You’re late!
Mishka is busy chopping vegetables.
CORGAN
Sorry, Liam.
Um, what can I do?
LIAM
Help Mishka cut.
Corgan goes over and starts helping Mishka. He gives her a smile.
MISHKA
Why are you smiling?
Corgan squeezes her cheek and winks at her.
CORGAN
(in a whisper)
Tell you later.
INT. STYX PALACE – DINING AREA
There is a huge table with 30 Shelamians seated around it. Humans enter the room with an array of wondrous dishes. The Shelamians are talking to one another in their own tongue.
One of the Shelamians is talking to a few others.
NIMROD (subtitled)
Rogue concertia yall davo.
Rogue is orchestrating everything to perfection.
Food is placed before them.
FADE TO BLACK.
EXT. STYX PALACE. COURTYARD. EVENING
Mishka walks into the courtyard with food for exotic animals that are in cages. The last cage has a creature known as a vagoose. His name is Occy. Occy is curled up in a corner.
MISHKA
Occy! Food!
Occy doesn’t move.
MISHKA
Occy! Come on! Here’s
some food for you.
Eventually Occy comes over to Mishka and starts eating.
OCCY
I can’t take it anymore Mishka. I am a vagoose. I need
trees, open space, freedom. I need Argoe.
MISHKA
Nothing can cut these bars, Occy.
You know, we’ve tried before.
Suddenly Corgan comes around the corner and kneels next to the cage.
MISHKA
Corgan! I feel so sorry for
Occy. Why can’t…
CORGAN
Shhh! Listen to me.
There is an old spaceship in the forest.
It probably crashed here a long time ago. There’s even
a co-pilot droid, which still works.
Occy and Mishka’s eyes light up.
CORGAN
The ship needs some fixing. It might take a while but…
Two Shelamians come walking by.
CORGAN
...and stop spending so much time looking at these animals.
Corgan grabs Mishka’s arm and pulls her away. The Shelamians take no notice. They are talking to each other while looking absently at the creatures.
Occy climbs the tree within his cage and gazes at the forest below. A smile lights up his face.
Some birds fly overhead.
EXT. STYX PALACE. AFTERNOON
Corgan gets to the spaceship. Epsilon is in power-saving mode. Corgan opens a flap on his head and presses a button. Epsilon wakes up.
CORGAN
Epsilon! I need you to help me fix
this spaceship.
INT. THE SPACESHIP
Corgan and Epsilon are fixing some wiring. Corgan is using the knife. Corgan accidentally pushes a button on the knife, igniting a lazer along the edges of the blade. He tests it outside on a tree branch.
CORGAN
I have to go but you can carry on
fixing the ship.
EPSILON
Yes, Corgan. Corgan...
where is Casstiga?
CORGAN
Casstiga?
Was that your owner?
EPSILON
That is my owner.
We were being chased by a dominion v6 fighter.
We crash landed and Castiga left the ship to look for help. He told
me to stay here, I waited a long time and eventually decided to go
into a power saving sleep.
CORGAN
What is that over there?
EPSILON
That is Casstiga’s journal.
Corgan opens the journal
CORGAN
His last entry was 10 years ago, Epsilon.
I don’t think he is coming back.
Corgan starts walking back to Styx palace. As he is walking a huge snake slithers past in the background. Corgan turns around and sees the tail disappear. As he turns again the snake’s head is in front of him. It strikes, but he manages to jump to the side. His knife flies out of his hand. He gets to it and turns around but the snake is gone.
He breathes a sigh of relief and then carries on walking cautiously. Suddenly the snake strikes from behind. He turns with the lazer-edge knife ignited. The snake gets a fright and backs away into the forest.
Corgan leaves the forest, but as he is about to enter the palace, a Shelamian guard sees him. The guard is riding a huge walking machine.
GUARD
You there!
CORGAN
Yes!
Corgan conceals the knife.
GUARD
What were you doing there in the forest?
CORGAN
In the forest? You wish to know what… what
I was…
GUARD
Yes, I want to know what you were doing
in the forest.
CORGAN
The mushrooms… had run out… so I was checking if there was another
patch close by… and there is which is great, wouldn’t you agree.
GUARD
Hmmm. Don’t let me catch you coming out of
the forest empty handed again.
CORGAN
You won’t, Sir.
GUARD
Well, come on! Get out my way.
Corgan enters the Palace.
INT. THE SLAVE QUARTERS – CORGAN’S BEDROOM
Corgan enters the room. Mishka is sitting looking at her doll. Her doll is broken and dirty. Corgan closes the door firmly behind him.
CORGAN
It’s going to take less time that I thought.
Mishka is lost in thought.
CORGAN
Mishka! Did you hear me?
MISHKA
Yes, I did. What is going to take less time?
CORGAN
To fix the ship. I thought it would take a while but the damage is mostly cosmetic.
Mishka is not really listening. Corgan grabs her by the shoulders and looks her in the eyes.
CORGAN
Are you thinking about our parents?
MISHKA
Yeah.
CORGAN
You miss them, right?
Mishka nods.
MISHKA
Whenever I look at her, (the doll)
I think of Mommy.
CORGAN
We can leave here, Mishka. Probably tomorrow, and then who knows, with a spaceship we can try and find Mom and Dad.
MISHKA
But we can’t just leave. The Shelamians will punish us. If we get caught, they’ll put us in the dark place or even kill us.
CORGAN
I know and I’ve thought about that but this is it Mishka.
If we don’t take this opportunity, we’ll be here forever. The spaceship is a miracle, sent from God. Besides, they wouldn’t kill us.
MISHKA
And what about Occy? Are we just going to leave him here?
Corgan pulls out the knife and ignites the lazer-edge.
CORGAN
This will cut the bars, Mishka.
Mishka’s eyes light up.
MISHKA
It is a miracle, isn’t it... but... I don’t know Corgan.
It just seems so scary. I’ve always wanted to get away from here but this seems so…
CORGAN
Real? Yes, it is real Mishka.
We can really escape. Well, do you want to hear my plan?
MISHKA
Okay.
CORGAN
Tomorrow I must get up really early, to go check if the ship is fixed. If it is, I will come back here and we will then go to Occy’s cage…
EXT. STYX PALACE. COURTYARD. MORNING.
Corgan and Mishka enter the courtyard, they have bags with them. There is dead silence. The wild animals are sleeping. Occy is also asleep.
CORGAN
Occy!
Occy is sleeping deeply.
MISHKA
Occy!
Occy wakes drearily.
OCCY
What! What is it?
CORGAN
We’re getting out of here.
Suddenly Occy is wide-awake. Corgan pulls out the knife. His hands are shaking.
OCCY
You’re going to cut the bars with…
The knife ignites.
OCCY
Oh!
Corgan starts cutting the bars.
OCCY
This… this is unbelievable. What about the spaceship? I thought it needed repairs.
CORGAN
Already done.
Epsilon worked right through the night.
Corgan finishes cutting the bars. Suddenly they hear voices.
CORGAN
Occy, Stay in your cage. Mishka, hide!
Corgan tries to fit the bars on the inside of the cage and then hides just in time. Two guards walk past. They are talking and don’t notice anything. They disappear.
MISHKA
That was close.
Occy gets out of the cage. They follow the guards, keeping a safe distance.
CORGAN
We can’t take the main elevators. We are going to have to use a sub-elevator.
They get to a very cramped elevator and descend to the lowest level. Corgan checks for guards. Some guards walk by. They wait a little and then run for the exit. Occy sees the Forest. He forgets in his excitement to stop and runs straight into the open.
CORGAN
Occy! No! (in a hushed voice)
A guard on a patrol walker in the distance sees Occy. Corgan grabs Mishka’s arm.
CORGAN
It’s all or nothing!
They run. The patrol walker fires at them and misses.
GUARD (into wrist-comm)
Mil Tok. Neefa on voose kapator.
(Sector12. Slaves and a vagoose on the run)
Occy waits for Corgan and Mishka. As they ran past him, he then follows.
The patrol walker is in hot pursuit, firing lazer blasts at them. Suddenly helicopter – type airships (AAV’s - Armed Air Vehicles) fly overhead.
MISHKA
How far is the ship?
CORGAN
Almost there!
Lazer beams start firing from the AAY’s above. The group sees the spaceship. Epsilon is plugged in next to the pilot’s chair.
EPSILON
Come on!
They get onboard in the nick of time and the ship takes off. Lazers hit the ship but there is no real damage. The ship escapes the planet.
MISHKA
Weehaaa!
Mishka hugs Corgan. Occy has a big grin.
CORGAN
Look, I’m happy too, but I hadn’t really thought past this.
I thought if we made it I would then consider our next step.
Any suggestions?
OCCY
Argoe.
You will love it there.
MISHKA
No! We’re not going to Argoe.
We are going to rescue our parents and you will just have to come with.
OCCY
Hey, whatever.
I’m just glad to be out of that cage.
CORGAN
Our parents are working in mines on the planet of Harosa.
Epsilon! Can this ship take us to Harosa?
EPSILON
No, there is only enough power to take us less than a quarter of the way.
Epsilon point to a screen with diagrams.
CORGAN
What are our options?
EPSILON
There is only enough power to get to Narfau. It is a moon with a breathable atmosphere.
CORGAN
What other info do you have?
EPSILON
That’s all there is in the database, Corgan.
CORGAN
Well, then… our choice seems easy. Narfau it is. Lets just hope we can power up there.
OCCY
And that we don’t run into any unfriendly Narfaunians.
CORGAN
Epsilon! To Narfau please.
EPSILON
Aye, Aye captain.
EXT. SPACE
The ship turns and flies into the distance.
